PMFTechnology – innovation in the detail

PMFTechnology combines proven principles of timber-frame and sandwich construction with modern materials research. The result: highly insulated, stable and durable elements for walls, floors or roofs – precisely manufactured, resource-efficient and recyclable.

Advantages of the technology

- Efficient insulation, more usable floor area
- No vapour barriers required, fewer building defects
- High resilience against natural disasters
- Short construction times thanks to a high degree of prefabrication
- Inherently stable walls
- Guaranteed recycling through PMF
Technical performance at a glance
Thermal values & standards
- Meets GEG 2023/24 (depending on configuration, up to KfW40/EH level possible)
- Wind- and vapour-tight, no additional membranes required
- Symmetrical build-up allows worry-free use of cooled interior spaces in summer
Mechanics & loads
- Dimensionally stable, transportable, self-supporting walls for modular construction
- Examples: wind load zone 4, alpine snow loads possible (verified per project)
Fire protection & resilience
- High fire resistance: depending on cladding, F30 to F90 possible.
- Resilient against water and moisture
- Resistant to storms and earthquakes
Note: specific figures are project-dependent and available on request
Why PMFHousing is right for you
- For municipalities / building authorities — Predictability, short construction times, minimal disruption to ongoing operations, energy-saving potential
- For project managers / architects — Digital plannability, easy integration into projects, reduced on-site work
- For private clients — Tailored fit-out, short construction time, low running costs, moving into a dry house with a healthy indoor climate
Sustainability and circular economy
Sustainability is built into PMFTechnology systemically: load-bearing structure and insulation are combined in a single element – reducing material use in production and energy demand in operation. PMFHousing follows the cradle-to-cradle philosophy: components are designed for disassembly and reuse, and the timber used is COC-certified. Together with partners such as RWTH Aachen and BASF, PMFHousing continuously improves the ecological footprint. Wherever structurally and legally possible, PMFHousing uses point foundations instead of sealing large areas – kind to trees and to the soil.
- Reduced material use in production and operation
- Easy disassembly and reuse of components
- COC-certified timber, collaboration with research institutes (RWTH, BASF) to optimise the ecological footprint
- Gentle foundations instead of ground sealing: tree-friendly
